In the current health climate BIPOC, African Americans, seniors and people with disabilities, are some of the hardest hit communities impacted by long term COVID. Our objective is to shift complete reliance on an overburdened health care system and encourage communities to seek out integrative/alternative wellness models. Osanyin Liberation School encourages and supports the reclamation of indigenous culinary traditions in tandem with folk medicine making practices while making them more accessible. We do this by empowering community members to champion their own health status through experiential learning opportunities in micro growing spaces and home gardens.
